Microneedling for the treatment of acne scars and wrinkles

What is Microneedling? Microneedling is a treatment where sterile tiny needles attached to a handheld device, are used to make many tiny openings in your skin, which results in: Increase of your skin’s elasticity, decreased scarring, tighter skin pores and normalization of pigmentation.

During your Microneedling treatment, we will use both an FDA cleared device, SkinPen® Precision, and skin care product, SkinFuse.

If you would like to have Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) included with your Microneedling, this treatment option is available. You can read more about PRP on our practice’s website.

Is Microneedling painful? Each person feels pain differently, that being said, this practice uses one of the two FDA approved Microneedling devices available, and your skin will be numbed with a topical numbing gel before the procedure. These techniques reduce the discomfort that may be felt during the procedure.  

When will I start to see results after my Microneedling?  Starting from the next day to 2-4 weeks afterwards, you should see results. Although you will see results after your first treatment, 3 treatments in total are recommended for maximum results and maintenance.
