What is Microneedling? Microneedling is a treatment where sterile tiny needles attached to a handheld device, are used to make many tiny openings in your skin, which results in:  increased collagen production, increase in anti-inflammation, keratinocyte targeting, normalization of sebaceous secretion and normalization of melanin production. All these actions results in: increase of your skin’s elasticity, decreased scarring, tighter skin pores and normalization of pigmentation.

During your Microneedling treatment, we will use both an FDA approved device, SkinPen® Precision, and skin care product, SkinFuse.

If you would like to have PRP included with your Microneedling, this treatment option is available. Please click on this link to learn more about PRP.

What Cosmetic/Aesthetic conditions can Microneedling treat? Some of the many conditions include:

  • Hyperpigmentation of the skin

  • Hypopigmentation of the skin

  • Scarring, such as Acne scars

  • Skin Wrinkling (Loss of skin elasticity due to decreased collagen production)

  • Enlarged Pores

  • Stretch marks

  • Hair loss and Hair thinning in both Women and Men (in combination with PRP)

Is Microneedling painful? Each person feels pain differently, that being said, this practice uses one of the two FDA approved Microneedling devices available, and your skin will be numbed with a topical numbing gel before the procedure. These techniques reduce the discomfort that may be felt during the procedure.

When will I start to see results after my Microneedling? Within 2-4 weeks you should see results. Although you will see results after your first treatment, 3 treatments in total are recommended for maximum results and maintenance.

What are the side effects of Microneedling? After the procedure, the skin will be red and flushed in appearance, like a moderate sunburn. You may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on certain areas. This will diminish significantly within a few hours following the procedure for within the next 24 hours, the skin will often appear to have returned to normal. After three days, there is rarely evidence that the procedure has taking place.
